The Tunbridge Wells Operatic & Dramatic Society (TWODS), supported by JD Wetherspoon, are proud to announce a return to the Opera House Tunbridge Wells after an absence of 44 years for two semi-staged charity gala performances celebrating the lyrics and music from Gilbert & Sullivan’s operas.

Arthur Sullivan’s glorious music from The Gondoliers, Iolanthe, The Mikado, HMS Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, Princess Ida, Ruddigore, Trial by Jury & The Yeomen of the Guard will be performed by the TWODS eighteen-piece gala orchestra, full chorus and principals conducted by David Grubb.

W S Gilbert’s combination of parody, pastiche and satire will be interpreted by Stage Director Neil Harris, in the splendour of the town’s only traditional theatre.

Both performances will be in aid of Hospice in the Weald and Demelza House and fulfil the ongoing respected contribution that TWODS make to local charities. JD Wetherspoon are proud to be associated with TWODS in what will be a memorable and beneficial day for all involved.

The production was supported by:
